As you know, there has been very little guild activity over the last six to eight months. This is in large part to many other projects happening, and thanks to many of you, they were a huge success. Now that those projects have been built, I have been thinking about kicking off the guild again, the right way.
Before I even think of this, I wanted to see if there is any interest in doing this. I am thinking that we will still be an action RPG based guild, and we will try and center on 4-5 games. Leave a comment here on your thoughts and if you are interested in helping me build the guild back up going forward.
The video above details all the declarations from Microsoft as well as all the changes.
A rumour which has been confirmed states that Microsoft is doing a 180 turn and disabling the DRM aspects of Xbone allowing gamers to trade and sell used games to retail stores or friends, disabling the 24h online connection check-ins, getting rid of the region locks. A bold move, would that be enough to push you towards buying an Xbone? You might want to note that nothing was mentionned about any changes to the price nor about the Kinect.
Additionally there is real worry within the gaming community (see video above from Giant Bomb) that if these features can be removed in such a simple fashion, there is a high chance that Microsoft could put them back in at a later date after the official launch date of Xbone when PR backlash has significantly lessened.
Im by far probably one of the worst writers on this site so Im just going to go ahead and copy/paste this from Neverwinters site. Phase 1 started two days ago and has one day left. Be extra sure to participate in stages two and three for extra bonuses!
Neverwinter will be live on June 20, 2013 – that’s only a week away! And to celebrate, we're running an End of Open Beta Event and every adventurer in the Forgotten Realms is invited! Begins: June 14, 2013 at 12pm PDT
Ends: June 17, 2013 at 12am PDT
Details: Questing, gathering nodes in the fields of Neverwinter, and looting treasure chests have never been more rewarding. If you’ve dreamed of having T10 Enchantments or Runestones, there’s never been a better time to get in game!
Phase 2 – The Invasion
Begins: June 17, 2013 at 12am PDT
Ends: June 20, 2013 at 9am PDT
Details: Protector’s Enclave will be under attack! How can you help protect the city of Neverwinter? During the End of Open Beta Event, there are 5 locations around Protector’s Enclave that will be vulnerable to attack. Look for a message indicating where the portal appeared and help fend off groups of enemies threatening the city. Also, there will be smaller groups patrolling the city, from the portals to the market area, looking to terrorizing the denizens of Neverwinter – they need your help! When the Invasion event is running, you will receive an open mission for killing enemies while in Protector's Enclave. Portals will spawn at the top and bottom of the hour and stay open for 5 minutes then close.

During the final phase of the Invasion, the Finale, terrifying Unhallowed Wights will make their presence known throughout the Forgotten Realms by coming through the portals and patrolling the city! These waves will be spaced 5 minutes apart.
However, if you successfully help keep Neverwinter safe during Phase 2 and Phase 3, you may be rewarded with some amazing items which are unique to this event! Throughout the event at the end of each portal wave, you will receive a bag of bones if you helped kill anything during the portal invasion. Collected bones can be taken to Makos' Apprentice in Protector's Enclave, by the market plaza, and exchanged for rewards. During the event, a Scroll of Deathly Aura may drop providing a minor buff to your character while granting a fire aura. Supergiant Games, creator of the critically acclaimed Bastion, have revealed a few screenshots and a trailer of their upcoming title "Transistor" at PAX East in Boston this weekend. The game will take place in a futuristic setting and will have a female protagonist this time around. The narrator voice of Logan Cunningham (Rucks) is making a comeback as the Sword that the protagonist uses. A promising new ARPG from Greg Kasavin, Gavin Simon and Amir Rao as well as the full team of Supergiant games who have already proven they know how to make good and memorable games. Hop on the hype train with me and check out the trailer below.
And a first look video from TotalBiscuit from PAX East where he interviews Greg Kasavin (Creative Director) while taking a look at a pre-release version of Transistor.
Are you getting sick of DRM systems? Do you resent the fact that EA put DRM in all of its recent games and that games are unplayable either on launch or when your internet goes out? Head on over to this petition and sign it to get your point across to EA. The petition demands the removal of DRM in Simcity and all of future EA titles. We are being farmed for cash with products that do not work, sign the petition and join the movement to put a stop this current trend in gaming.
Hey guys, it has been a while! Sorry for my absence. As you well know, we have been running ARPGamer for a few months and that has kept me incredibly busy! Now, things are slowing down and we are going to begin picking up things at DCA with a series of exciting announcements.
The first: In 2 weeks we will be opening the forums over at ARPGamer and as a consequence, this will give members of the DCA the opportunity to commune with other people that are into ARPGs. This will be huge for the ARPG genre as a whole and we plan to work this into something very special. Well, what does this mean for the DCA you might be asking yourself. There have been a few of you talking about it and I am now confirming that the DCA forums will be moving exclusively to be hosted on ARPGamer.
How this will work. We will see what we can do about retaining the old forums, but for now the plan is to start a private forum for the members of the DCA over at the ARPGamer forums and on top of that, special DCA forum badges that will show your affiliation with the group. This is a great way to brag, cough cough, I mean, tell people that you belong to the DCA in the ARPGamer forums.
While we have not decided what to do with the site (hosting wise) we do plan to have all of the communication from then on over at the ARPGamer forums and we hope that you will join us on this incredible journey.
The very first Torchlight II unofficial mod is finally available. Created at SynergyMod, this mod brings a massive update with new original pets (see ghost spirit pet in picture above), a new necromancer class with its own customized skills passives and armor sets as well as charge bar (see picture above), a massive amount of new dungeons and monsters, new top level content (level 105 and above), new fonts, new character customizations options for characters, new gems, shared and personal stashes are made MUCH bigger, startup gear is made much better and mobs difficulty scale twice as fast compared to the regular game. A good challenge for fans and a massive amount of content. Check my post in Torchlight II section for details on where to download it and how to install it effectively.
A beautiful third person ARPG from Cipher Studios and Carlos B. Garcia taking place in the same world as "Anima Tactics with an anime art style. Game was currently on a kickstarter project and they have managed to fund it fully. Game will feature music from Anastasia Devana and will work pretty much like a spectacle fighter like God of War. Story will take place in the world of Gaia and endings will differ depending on the secondary quests you finish as well as what decisions you made in game.
Just got an email announcing open beta is almost over for PoE so this is your last chance to get in on Open Beta Support if you want to help them out. I honestly need to start playing this one again. Anyone up for re-rolling?
i am currently in a Marvel Heroe guild, Immortals, so if anyone decides to start up Marvel Heroes. This guild has a lot off good players. I am still DCA through and through, but i needed to find some folks who played MH
Because i was a pretty big fan of icewind dale and all dungeons and dragons based games. I miss the disappearance of Dragon Age style of gameplay. If they had made it exact same as previous games but in an MMO format i would be much more excited.
The only time I felt I might have needed to purchase zen was when I had zero gold and couldnt afford health potions. I did decide to grind for a few hours which got me enough for potions. However I did do a few small transactions for gambling lol
